About Paul McCartney

Sir Paul McCartney is one of the most important figures in music history. McCartney met John Lennon in 1957 and joined Lennon's band, which was then known as The Quarrymen. The band eventually evolved into the most famous band in history – The Beatles. From there, it was all fame and success for McCartney. For a decade, The Beatles churned out hit after hit, many of which McCartney penned. Songs like "Can't Buy Me Love," "Helter Skelter," and "Hello, Goodbye," were all written by McCartney and were major hits all over the globe.

McCartney continued his musical career after The Beatles broke up, forming the Wings with his wife, Linda McCartney, and Denny Laine. The Wings were formed in 1971 but disbanded a decade later in 1981 – but not after producing hit songs such as "Live and Let Die." Even after the Wings disbanded, McCartney continued to release music as a solo artist.
