Growing up in a country household in the small town of Lindale, Texas, Miranda Lambert immersed herself in music from a young age. As a young guitar player and songwriter, Miranda Lambert entered talent contests at age 16 and began pursuing a music career more seriously.

Miranda Lambert released an independent CD in 2001 and later auditioned for Nashville Star in 2003. Lambert finished the singing competition in third place and the exposure led her to a recording contract with Sony. Lambert released her first full length album, Kerosene, in 2005 which went platinum. Lambert's girl power facade demonstrated through her fierce tracks about ex-boyfriends made her popular among female artists. Lambert went on to release more self-written albums, including award-winning album, Revolution, in 2009. In 2011, Miranda Lambert's album, Four the Record, generated Top 10 singles including "Baggage Claim" and "Mama's Broken Heart", and the No. 1 "Over You". Platinum dropped in 2014 and included hits such as "Little Red Wagon" and "Automatic." The power couple marriage between Miranda Lambert and country artist Blake Shelton also increased Lambert's popularity and success. Since their recent divorce, Lambert has not slowed down. She dropped the hit single "Vice" off her new album The Weight of These Wings that includes two discs: "The Nerve" and "The Heart."
