About the New Orleans Pelicans
The Pelicans have a unique history in the NBA. New Orleans was originally known as the Charlotte Hornets, but in 2002, the Hornets moved to New Orleans -- where they became known as the New Orleans Hornets. Two years later, Charlotte had its own team once again in the Bobcats. In 2013, New Orleans changed its name to the Pelicans -- and the rest has been history.
