Coldplay, a British rock band hailing from London, came around after British explosion bands like Oasis and Travis experienced a bit of a lull. Along with their arrival came a storm of bands to follow that labeled Coldplay as a tastemaker, an innovator and simply a strong resilient band. While many of the British resurgent bands have faded into the background Coldplay has withstood the times and joined big boys Radiohead and U2 as music staples across the world.
